Khaled is a surgeon with a specialist interest in Gastrointestinal and abdominal wall problems. He qualified from the University of Cambridge and trained in London, Oxford and Australia. Khaled completed a postgraduate research thesis (MD) at the University of London.
He is a founding member of the Gastric and Oesophageal London Cancer Network, leads the development of Upper GI Enhanced Recovery at University College Hospital and is the Royal College of Surgeons appointed surgery tutor at UCLH.
Khaled has many years of experience in surgery for gallstone disease as well as groin and umbilical hernias.
He performs open and laparoscopic hernia repairs and will tailor his advice on the surgical approach to the patient’s needs and background. He also specializes in the treatment of severe gastro-oesophageal acid reflux as well as gastric and oesophageal cancer.
When not working Khaled acts as mentor for the Madrinha Trust, is a chairman of a medical education charity and enjoys triathlons.
